Léon Wuidar is a painter from Liège (BE). For the past six decades he has been exploring, among other things, the possibilities of geometrical abstraction, using each canvas to create a precise composition that balances the interaction of shapes and colors. This exhibition presents more than forty paintings spanning the entirety of Wuidar’s career and focuses on the aspect of play in his work. At its core, the exhibition posits that the push and pull of freedom and restriction is essential not only to artistic practice, but to society at large.
